Hey Peeps!!!
Holy wow!!!! It's been a hot minute since I've written a blog. Life has been crazy busy. But that is just the way we like it. ;) I cannot believe how fast this year has flown by. I've had the opportunity to work with so many special families again this year. New families, families I've worked with many times before, and some of my own family as well. Before we know it 2026 will be here, which is why I want tell you guys all about the plans and changes I've been working on for JNP for 2026! They're kinda big!!!
So, here goes . . .
Jennifer Norrick Photography is going to undergo some restructuring. I've decided to not offer studio sessions anymore. At least not in my own studio, within my home. There are so many options in town now to rent studio space as needed for photographers. And the spaces are beautiful! It has been so convenient to just work directly from home, not have to go anywhere, etc. But, together with my family we have decided we are in a place where we want to use the space in our home for some other stuff. :)
Now, for those families that have booked newborn sessions with me already, that are not due to be born until spring of next year, we will still shoot in my studio. However, I will not be booking any new studio newborn sessions from here on out. That being said I CANNOT give up my baby time!!!!!!! So, this brings us to the next change JNP will be going through.
I'll be focusing my photography more on lifestyle photography for my newborns. What that means is that I will still offer lifestyle newborn sessions in the client's home. Now you still get all the special shots of just baby and all the details I love so much. I come with all my props and wraps and hats and all that stuff we use in the studio. But, guess what? The best part about this is that you don't have to pack up and come to me or go anywhere. You can just stay home. I personally have found that families (especially those with littles that are older siblings to the newborn) are more comfortable in their own home!
I'll be turning my work more toward outdoor family sessions and lifestyle family sessions as well as maternity outdoor and lifestyle sessions, and couples outdoor and lifestyle sessions. Possibly a few births throughout the year and of course Fresh 48 and my fur baby sessions will still be available.
Just stay tuned and I'll keep you all posted about the transitions and changes that will take place over the next few months. The changes I'm making are big for ME!!!! I've had my little studio for years. But I feel like it's time to take my photography in a bit of a different direction and I so look forward to the new adventures that are coming.
