Happy Soon To Be Fall Ya'll!!!


July! We have made it to July. Half way through the year and in the middle of summer break for all the school kids. I hope you guys are making some memories again this summer. This blog is just going to be a little bit about what all is happening and what is ahead for the upcoming fall season. I know, I know!!!! It's only July. But it's when we photographers start planning for the most important season of the year, AUTUMN. Not to mention it's my fave.


So, just a quick recap of what I've been up to this summer, before we get into all the goodies that are coming your way this fall! :)


So my middle go married in May. That kicked off the big events that have taken place this year.  What a wedding!!!!! Got to have all three of my kiddos in one place once again. I can't wait to see the photog's gallery  that captured their wedding for us!!

New Orleans, La.


June brought my husband and I to New Orleans, Louisiana. I was able to shoot the wedding of a young couple that are also family friends. That always makes those life moments so much more special for me. When I have known the family for long time! Abby and Dorian had an absolutely, stunningly, beautiful wedding and I was lucky enough to be allowed to capture it! My husband is from Baton Rouge, so it was a given he'd be tagging along for this work trip we turned into a little vacation as well. We hit up the Audubon Aquarium (a bit disappointing to be honest), the WWII museum (that was freaking magnificent), and we hit the Audubon Zoo! We of course stopped and snacked on some Beignets at Cafe Du Monde!!! Fun was had, but I won't lie. It was nice to be home . . . where the heat is much more pleasant than the heat down south, LOL!!!!

And last for my summer shenanigans: I am fur baby sitting at my brother's in East Kansas for a couple of weeks. He and his family are enjoying a vacation cruise in the Bahamas and I am keeping their fur babies company.  I jumped on that opportunity to spend almost two weeks out in the country with my books and the dogs to keep me company.  My friend Pam and her husband drove over from Wichita to have lunch with me and we did some shopping. I have gotten a lot of work done as well. :) My bestie is flying in to spend the rest of my time here with me. We are so looking forward to just relaxing and the quiet before the craziness starts up.  Which leads us to FALL!!!! I've been editing and getting ready for FALL sessions!! So . . . Peek at my nephew and niece doggos, and then read on for what awaits you this fall!

Well, that quote is one of my faves for more reasons than that it's about fall. October is my birthday month! And I have been doing a weekly giveaway every Friday in October for the past few years. However this year I am dreaming up some special stuff because guess what? I am turning the big FIVE OH!!!!! Yep, I'm gonna be 50. And to be honest, I've always thought that age is nothing but a number. We are as old as we feel! I have decided that 50 is going to be my best year yet! So you guys will have to look for those weekly giveaways.  OK, that is item number 1 on the list of fall goodies coming your way.


Item number 2: Labor Day. I am only booking limited birth stories between this year and next. I have been open to fitting them in when families are due during the times I am home. So, I'll be offering my annual Labor Day event for birth stories, lifestyle newborn, Fresh 48, and maternity sessions! So basically. anything to do with babies and their arrival and it is included!


Now, item number 3: FALL SESSIONS!!!!! Gahhhhhhhhhh I cannot wait for these. The changing colors of the leaves. Crisp mornings, hot cocoa, boots and hats and scarves and hoodies!!!! I feel like it's the season where we can breathe again and change happens. So BOOKING OFFICIALLY BEGINS JULY 13th!!!!


I am spending almost all of the season at home this year. I have a wedding in Kansas in September but that is my only trip for this year's fall season. Other than that, dates will be available.  So, hit me up!!!!!

I love seeing all the growing families and the changes.
